In order to promote nature education, an Interpretation Zone has been created within the Gir National Park Devalia, covering all types of habitat and Gir wildlife. Within the chained fences feeding-cum-living cages are maintained for the carnivores along with a double-gate entry system. The inside population of the zone includes 100 spotted deer, about 100 blue-bulls, 15 wild boars, sambar and black-bucks, with other mammal and reptilian species together with a number of species of birds.
